Recording

Recording is an essential part of scientific goat breeding and herd management. Important records may include animal identification, date of birth, parentage, body weight, growth rate, mating date, kidding date, number of kids born, kid survival, milk production, health treatments, vaccinations, and culling information.

Accurate records allow farmers to compare animals and identify those that consistently perform well.
