Newborn kids require immediate attention after birth because the first few hours are critical for their survival and development. The kid should be dried properly, particularly during cold weather, and its nose and mouth should be clear so that it can breathe normally. The umbilical cord should be appropriately disinfected to reduce the risk of infection.
Colostrum should be provided as early as possible after birth, preferably within the first few hours. The kid should be kept warm, dry, and protected from drafts and excessive moisture. Regular observation should be carried out to ensure that the kid is suckling properly, gaining strength, and showing normal activity. Weak, chilled, or sick kids require prompt attention.
